Hvar is the Blue Cave’s closest famous neighbor, and the logistics reward that geography all day long.

The route and the clock

Hvar Town to Mezuporat (Biševo): roughly an hour on a speedboat, sea permitting - about half the Split run. Tours leave Hvar around 10:15 and arrive inside the cave’s reliable color window, roughly 10:30–13:00, when high sun pours through the underwater opening and lights the water from below. Afternoon visits see a dimmer cave; this is a morning errand, full stop.

At Mezuporat every visitor - whichever tour brought them - transfers to the cave operator’s small boats for the entry itself. Inside is ten to fifteen minutes of the Adriatic’s best light trick.

The fee truth

The cave is run by its own operator, and its ticket is in no tour price anywhere: €24 per adult in high season (20 Jun–10 Sep), €18 in the shoulder months, children 6–12 half price, cash preferred when crews collect it aboard. Any listing that seems to include it is worth re-reading. Budget it as the day’s cover charge and move on.

Shared or private
